This mixture also helps protect your eyes from different infections. If your eyes produce an increased or decreased amount of this mixture, an infection of dry eye syndrome could occur. You are prone to produce a decreased amount of tears if you’ve had laser eye surgery, certain medical conditions, or if you getting older in age. On the other hand, you are prong to produce an increased amount of tears if you don’t blink frequently or if you’re in an environment with wind, dry air, or smoke.
